Coping with Uncertainty in a Location-Based Game

چکیده

Location-based games are a new form of entertainment played out on the city streets. Players equipped with handheld or wearable interfaces move through the city. Sensors capture information about their current context, including their location, and this is used to deliver a gaming experience that changes according to where they are, what they are doing and potentially how they are feeling. In collaborative games this information is also transmitted to other players who may also be on the streets or online. The net result is a gaming experience that is interwoven with the player’s everyday experience of the city.
